2010-2012     Post Doctorate in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tongji University.

TEACHING AND RESEARCH

Dr. Du mainly gave the courses for undergraduates, including General Physics and Modern Physics Experiments. He is good at inspiring the creativity and encouraging the innovation of the students. He has instructed the undergraduates to publish several academic and experimental papers. He has received Frist Prize of Teaching Competitions for Young Teachers in Tongji University in 2020, Excellent Award of Shanghai University Young Teachers Teaching Competition in 2020, and First Prize of Teaching Competitions for Young Teachers of National Univeristy Physics Courses in Shanghai Division.


The current research interests of Dr. Du include the interactions between aerogels & other matters, multifunctional & novel aerogels, superblack materials, 3D printing of aerogels, nanoporous materials, bio-inspired materials and drug carrier design.


SERVICE
Prize winning:

Dr Du is a Fellow of International Association of Advanced Materials (Sweden). He serves as Committee Members of several academic societies including Youth Working Committee of Shanghai Physical Society, Sol-Gel Committee of Chinese Ceramic Society, and Metamaterials Committee of Chinese Materials Research Society.

Dr. Du serves as Session Co-Chair of D01 Symposia (Metamaterials and Multifuctional Materials) in Chinese Materials Conferences (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023), Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Materials Conferences (2023), Session Co-Chair of 12th Advanced Materials World Congress and International Committee Member of Conference on Aerogel Inspired Materials.

Dr. Du serves as Associate Editor of Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials (Nature Springer), Associate Editor of Engineered Science and the Executive Editor of ES Materials & Manufacturing.
